Antique Qajar Dynasty early 20th century Islamic, Persian ceramic vase painted in blue, green, yellow, pink and brown on a moss colored background and decorated with a Persian King on horseback, hunting for deer. Opposite side shows another hunter in a classic baulister shape. Condition: Good with slight crazing, and chip on top rim. Slight roughness and glaze irregularities at the bottom. Measurements: Height: approximately 11 inches Diameter: 8 inches. Weight is 4 pounds.

This This Moroccan Jambiya (Koumiya) features a graceful curving line, with intricate embossing, Measuring 15" long and weighing a little under a pound, the handle and sheath are encased with with embossed silver metal. The blade appears to be carbon steel, and isn't particularly sharp. There are a pair of rings for attaching it to a belt. I suspect this may be a Moroccan ceremonial or display piece from the 1960's.

Lobed copper sweet tray delicately painted in enamel work referred to as Mina Kari. It has a symmetrical floral pattern with three birds in the center. It stands 1" tall and measures 7" across, and weighs about 4oz. There is some minor chipping on the rim, but the plate is otherwise in good condition.

Unique Moroccan tea warming table or stand from the 1960's. Formed in the classic hexagon shape with keyhole cutouts, and profuse etching. This has been paired with a newer oil lamp to complete it. This graceful pair of Mamluk Revival Islamic vases have two different Islamic calligraphy cartouches with simple foliate medallions in between. There are also chain details encircling the vase near the top and bottom, as well as semi medallions ringing the bottom. They are the same size, obviously from the same maker, but like many Islamic hand crafted items, are not an exact match. The vases measure 12" tall and 4.5" across and weigh 16 ounces each. These were made in the 1960's for the tourist trade.

Throughout the Islamic world, it is a tradition to greet road-weary travelers and guests with a refreshing sprinkle of rosewater or orange blossom water. This charming blue Moroccan glass and embossed white brass bottle was made for this purpose, although I have seen people buy them for use as incense burners. Indian elephant brass incense burner with howdah. There is a mahout, or elephant driver in the front of the howdah, the passenger area is where you would place a cone of incense. The elephant is enrobed with ornate trappings. The word "India" is etched onto the base. Cones as we know them today were an invention of the Japanese. archaeologists have found forms of cones in cave duellings as well as Egyptian tombs. This intrepid pachyderm measures 6.25" tall by 5" long and 3.5" wide at the base, and weighs nearly 1.75 pounds.

Enamel flask shaped cigar lamp encircled by four foliate floral themed tri-lobed medallions. I believe it is Russian. The geometry of the design has some Deco elements. The enamel is in excellent condition with a small amount of wear on the lid. The reservoir and wick holder are missing. It has a plate of lead soldered to the bottom to add weight and stability. It measures 7" tall by 3.5" across and weighs 13 ounces.

Morocco Brass and Nickle Embossed Powder Flask inlaid with Turquoise, Amber, and Coral. This well crafted compact piece has two rings that attach to a belt. The back is etched with a swirled sunburst design, and the edges are adorned with either beaded or braided metal trim. This was crafted in the 1970's. The stopper has an angled cavity for measuring and pouring the powder into the gun. This unique piece measures 3 inches in diameter, and is 5.25 inches long, and weighs a little over half a pound.

Copper handwashing basin made in Syria about 1960. It has a fine pie crust edging and has an inner rim that the original strainer would have rested on. There is a simple band of tooling near the bottom that appears to strengthen and stabilize it. This is a simple, unadorned basin that would pair nicely with several other items I currently have listed. It measures 11.75" across by 3.75" tall with an opening of 7.75" and weighs 1.5 pounds.

This unique flask has elaborate metal chasing depicting scenes from the Rubiayat of Omar Khayyam. Silver plate over copper. This was likely made in the 1950's in the style of Qajar metalwork as a presentation gift for oil or state department executives. Three unique scenes adorn the three sides of this uniquely shaped bottle. The metal tooling of every part is of the highest quality. The cork is in pristine condition, and the top is attached to the bottle with chains. The silverplate is partially rubbed off on part of the bottom, and the stopper. This unique piece weighs a little over 2 pounds, and measures 9.5" tall by 5" across.

Moroccan brass Koran box ca. 1960's, it has applied silver metal and bezel set stones which appear to be coral, lapis, and camel bone. There is a stylized circle design on the back. The same series of numbers is repeated on the curved lid. The brass and applied metal features profuse foliate etching. It has a braided strap, which may or may not be original. This unique box measure 4" across, 6" with the belt mount, by 6" tall, and is 1 a little over" thick and weighs 1.25 pounds.
