This is a very graceful and beautiful Yemeni dagger. It measures 13" long and weighs nearly a pound. The handle has two pounded coins affixed, and the surface has a nubby texture to it. I believe it to be some sort of horn. The leather sheath is extensively embellished with hand worked silver. This was made approximately 1880-1920 for ceremonial dress use, so the blade is unsharpened. There are minor corrosion spots on the blade.
