Silvered Copper Ottoman (Turkish) hunting tray has a great deal of detail and textures to it's traditional design. There is a hunter on horseback flanked by two lions. There are houses and trees in the background as well. There is a wide border of Islamic calligraphy surrounding the central medallion. The pie crust rim is 1 1/4" high, and the rigidness of this tray makes it suitable for use as a table. There is a bale soldered onto the back for hanging on the wall. The fabrication of this type of metalwork is a dying art. Measuring 22" across and weighing 9 pounds, this piece is surprisingly heavy. This piece is estimated to be 60-120 years old.
