This brass Islamic medallion tray has a traditional Mamluk influenced design. There are foliate quatrefoil bands separating the central star shaped medallion, with four cartouches of Islamic script separated by stylistic spherical medallions. This tray is moderately patinated with a few oxidation spots.
Measuring 25 1/2", and weighing nearly 7 pounds, this piece is surprisingly heavy. This tray is estimated to be 80-120 years old
