| Copper and silver tray with a great deal of detail and texture to it's traditional Mamluk design, There are foliate flourishes throughout the plate with a Tughra in the center. All of this is accented with inlays of silver. Meticulously hand carved, the fabrication of this type of metalwork is a dying art. Measuring 7.75" across, resting on three ball feet, with scalloped edges, and weighing 3/4 of a pound, this piece is surprisingly heavy. This piece is estimated to be 90-110 years old. | ||
