A very collectible piece made of a native coin metal alloy referred to as gillet. This tribal headdress was made for a young Turkoman bride. The metal components are applied over a base made from an old Afghan woven Kufi hat. Set with cowrie shells, which represents femininity and fertility, this piece features embossed stylized coins and dangle "coins" sewn onto the base. There is sort of a decorated flower spike on top with dangles and bells. A flap of recycled green wool is lined in printed cotton, and embellished with embossed silver pieces and beaded black fringes finish off this piece.

The metal components are applied over a base made from an old Afghan Suzani. Set with red glass jewels, this piece features embossed stylized coins and metal plates sewn onto the base. There is sort of a decorated flower spike on top with dangles and bells. Three flaps of recycled striped ketene silk lined in floral cotton, and embellished with coins and colorful tassels finish off this piece.

This piece features embossed stylized coins and metal plates sewn onto the base made from an Afghan Suzani. A silver and coral beaded cowl frames the the face and extends down the sides with coins and embossed dangles at the ends. There is sort of a decorated flower spike on top with dangles and bells. Black tassels with white beads finish off this piece. This is an exceptionally comfortable piece to wear.
