Meticulously hand carved Samovar from The Indo Persian region of Central Asia.. This particular samovar has foliate detail featuring flowers and leaves, with a serpent handle, and ornamental openwork at the base, where the ashes are cleared from. It is in very good condition, and appears to have been used for display only. The lid had a smaller lid for access to the coal chamber tube which heats the water from within Measuring 10" tall, and 12" from handle to spout, weighing a little over two pounds.

A very unusual and collectible piece made of a native coin metal alloy referred to as gillet. This tribal headdress was made for a young Turkoman bride. This is a very unusual and rare solid piece, made of low grade silver with gilded applied embellishments and set with large red bakelite jewels. There is a brass loop on top to which a tasseled fabric triangle is leashed. A flap of recycled printed floral cotton lined in white cotton, and embellished with cowries, embossed metal, and a triangle to ward off evil spirits, with colorful tassels finish off this piece.

A very collectible piece made of a native coin metal alloy referred to as gillet. This tribal headdress was made for a young Turkoman bride. The metal components are applied over a base made from an old Afghan woven Kufi hat. Set with cowrie shells, which represents femininity and fertility, this piece features embossed stylized coins and dangle "coins" sewn onto the base. There is sort of a decorated flower spike on top with dangles and bells. A flap of recycled green wool is lined in printed cotton, and embellished with embossed silver pieces and beaded black fringes finish off this piece.

This is a very simple copper aftaba or pitcher embellished with four medallions, three with a rose theme, and the fourth, under the spout, a small tree. There is dovetailing evident across the belly where the top and bottom were joined. The spout has a slightly sharper bend from being bumped. At some point there was a silver wash applied, which has mostly worn away. This style of carving is more associated with Afghanistan rather than Iran.
The pot measures 13.75" tall by 5.25" diameter and 8.5" from handle to spout and weighs a little over 3 pounds.

This unique flask has elaborate metal chasing depicting scenes from the Rubiayat of Omar Khayyam. Silver plate over copper. This was likely made in the 1950's in the style of Qajar metalwork as a presentation gift for oil or state department executives. Three unique scenes adorn the three sides of this uniquely shaped bottle. The metal tooling of every part is of the highest quality. The cork is in pristine condition, and the top is attached to the bottle with chains. The silverplate is partially rubbed off on part of the bottom, and the stopper. This unique piece weighs a little over 2 pounds, and measures 9.5" tall by 5" across.
