This tribal Egyptian silver bracelet is a very unusual piece. The bracelet itself dates back to the turn of the 20th century when silver, rather than alloy was used. It was refashioned into a bowl by adding the bottom plate around 1960. Egyptian silver is normally 90% pure, and this does have a hallmark on the bottom, which is what was used for dating it. The bottom plate is decorated in a traditional Mamluk inspired foliate design. This measures 4 .5 by 4 inches across, and is a little over .5" tall, and weighs nearly four ounces. This would make a fabulous change tray for your dresser.

An early 20th century silver necklace and earrings. Made with Pahlavi coins featuring the Persian symbol of the lion with sword in front of the rising sun. The stylized bows are set with red and pink ruby colored glass. There are two tiers of coins and set rubies. The larger bow is elaborately encrusted with ruby glass and dangles. The smaller bow is topped with Avila, the twin headed eagle, and it's dangling coin appears Turkish as it features a Tughra, or seal of Solomon. The earrings feature crescent moons with stars and bezel set ruby dangles and have a 2.25 inch drop. I believe the earrings were added later. The necklace is 24 inches long with the bow pendant and dangles dropping nearly 5 inches.

Older Strand of North African amber trade beads. Shaped slightly cylindrically, these beads are 1 1/4" in diameter. Some ends are angled slightly which makes them seem to curve. There are 44 beads in all. These appear to be fashioned to complement Venetian millefiori African trade beads (also known as Goulamine beads). These are temporarily strung, and a few show marks from being burn tested. These are most likely Moroccan.
