This Eastern dagger features a graceful curving line, with intricate embossing featuring a foliate chain design, on the handle, sheath AND blade. It Measures 10.5" (27cm) long and weighs 3/4 of a pound (.34kg). The blade is a foliate embossed brass, and isn't particularly sharp. There are a pair of rings for attaching it to a belt. It is likely a tourist piece from the 1960's or 1970's, and is very sturdy paper knife.

This pierced 19th c. Syrian brass Mamluk revival spittoon has a great deal of detail and texture within it's unique carved and pierced design. There is a continuous chain Islamic Script, alternating with medallions encircling the belly of the pot with a granulated texture throughout. Also, there is a chain or endless knot design encircling above and below the belly of the pot.
Lovingly hand carved, the fabrication of this type of metalwork is a dying art, as the younger generations adopt new technologies. Measuring 10" (25cm) across by 5" (13cm) high, and weighs a little over 3 pounds (1.4 Kg) before packing, this piece is quite solid. This piece is estimated to be 60-70 years old.

This unique pot has amazing detail and texture to it's carved Persian design. The floral trefoil design across the belly is a typical Persian theme popular during the Qajar (Victorian) period. There is also a floral band near the top, and the bottom is ringed in spade like semi-medallions. This amazing 19th century pot is free of dents, but does have a uniformly "bumpy' feeling to it. The opening is slightly off round, which is detected by feel. only. Measuring 8.5" across, by 4" tall, it weighs 1 1/2 pounds before packing.

Lovingly hand crafted, this 19th century enameled plate was made in Damascus Syria using a Cuerda Seca style of enameling, with an etched resist overlay.
There enamel is in near perfect condition with negligible losses.
Measuring 6 1/2" (16 cm) across, and weighing nearly a pound and a half, it is quite heavy. This piece is estimated to be 100-150 years old

This is a 19th qalamdan or ink and quill holder. The patina on this case is quite rich, I have made no attempt to clean this. It measures 9 1/2" long, and the attached inkpot is approximately 1 1/2" square. A very substantial piece, it weighs nearly a pound! Scribes used to tuck these cases into their belts, and the inkpots kept them from slipping through. A unique and historical item for your desk, or collection.

This is a very graceful and beautiful Yemeni dagger. It measures 11" long and weighs a little over a pound. The front of the sheath is elaboratly embellished with hand worked silver filigrees designs over solid silver, it is backed in leather. There is an additional smaller knife with it's own subsheath, as shown. This was made approximately 1920 to 1950 for ceremonial dress use, so the blade is unsharpened and chromed.

This is a Hebrew coffee pot It measures 8 1/2" tall by 4 1/4" across, and weighs approximately a pound. This pot features two bands of Hebrew lettering: encircling the belly and neck of the pot, alternating with an Egyptian Pyramid and Sphinx scene, on one side and two people with halos and a bird (dove?) on the other. There is also a band of deer like animals encircling the top. Aside from a few dents on the bottom which do not detrasct from the appearance of the pot, it is overall in good condition, with a pleasing patina.

Lovingly hand crafted, this 19th century enameled box was made in Esfahan. (Isfahan) Persia (Iran) using a Cuerda Seca style of enamelling.
There are some minor enamel losses, but considering the size of the inlays, it's age, and the fact that this was made to be used as a jewelry box, it has survived remarkably well. There are some minor enamel losses on the front corner of the box, and the clasp part of the hinge is missing, otherwise this is in excellent condition.
Measuring 5.25" (13.33cm) by 3.25" (8.25cm) by 2.75" inches (7cm), and weighing over a pound (.5 kilo), this piece is quite solid. This piece is estimated to be 100-150 years old

Lovingly hand crafted, this 19th century enameled pot was made in Esfahan. (Isfahan) Persia (Iran) using a Cuerda Seca style of enamelling.
Cuerda Seca enamelling is done in the following manner: The design is stamped or carved into the surface after which colored glazes are applied. The contours of the designs are detailedt with a mixture of beeswax or vegetable fat and manganese oxide. During the firing, the wax or fat burns away producing contours of red or black that also prevent the differently-colored glazes from running into one another. This technique was created during the Seljuk (14th-15th C.) period in Persia, (modern Iran and Iraq) and eventually made it's way via Syria, Turkey, Greece, and Italy to Spain where it is used extensively in tile and pottery making even today.
There are some minor enamel losses, but considering the size of the inlays, the age of the pot, and the fact that this was made to be used as a planter, it has survived remarkably well. There is a fairly substantial dent on the lower part of the pot with enamel losses, and a couple of smaller knocks with lesser losses. One side shows well for display.
Measuring 5" (13 cm) by 6 inches (15 cm), and weighing a pound (.45kg), this piece is quite solid. This piece is estimated to be 100-150 years old

This is a very graceful and beautiful Yemeni dagger. It measures 13" long and weighs nearly a pound. The handle has two pounded coins affixed, and the surface has a nubbly texture to it . I believe it may be either Giraffe or Rhino horn. The leather sheath is embellished with hand worked silver set with a carnelian. The tip has a slight separation. This was made approximately 1880-1920 for ceremonial dress use, so the blade is unsharpened and chromed, a few spots of chrome have flaked off, revealing the steel beneath.
