Throughout the Middle East and Central Asia, people gather around braziers of a variety of styles, to keep warm, heat tea or coffee, or cook food. This is an older piece, referred to in it's native Turkish as a Mangal. This can be used for entertaining on your deck or patio by simply placing embers from your barbecue or fireplace into the coal pot. You can then warm tea or coffee in an Ibrik, cook shish-kabob, or use the coals for keeping your nargile (hookah or water-pipe) lit or add a pinch of bakhoor (incense) if you like. You may also prefer to use it as a very elaborate ice bucket. This unique item measure 21" tall and 16" across at the rim. The feet extend slightly beyond the rim. It weighs 20 pounds packed.
