Late 19th or early 20th century India Brass Inkwell measures 4.5" from it's trunk to hanging ring in back, by 2.5", and weighs 14 ounces before packing. The cast body of the inkwell has a fluted design with a detailed elephant head. It has three rings for chains for hanging to attach. This may have beem used on a boat, and hung from a bulkhead mounted hook.
