This vintage rosewood cedar chest is inlaid with rosewood and camelbone , and accented with embossed silver metal and coral, has a wonderful rustic charm to it. This was likely made in the 1970's. Found throughout the Islamic world, this chest is unusually large This amazing vintage box measures 20" long by 12" deep, by 13" high, and weighs approximately 24 pounds before packing. The bone pieces fit well together, and are well matched. There are a few hairline cracks in the bone consistent with a piece this age.

Worn at the waist or hips, this finely crafted belt drapes and moves beautifully and is very comfortable to wear. It measures 38" to the hook closure. I have a very graceful and solid dagger. Measuring 14" long and weighing a pound and a half, the handle and sheath are overlaid with with etched brass. The blade appears to be carbon steel, and iis elaborately etched with a dragon motif. There is slot loop on the back for attaching it to a belt. Carefully hand shaped, polished, and accented with silver and brass inlays.

A very unusual and collectible piece made of a native coin metal alloy referred to as gillet. This tribal headdress was made for a young Turkoman bride. The metal components are applied over a base made from an old Afghan Suzani. Set with red glass jewels, this piece features the twin headed eagle, an imperial symbol from Greece to Russia.

This Eastern dagger features a graceful curving line, with intricate embossing featuring a foliate chain design, on the handle, sheath AND blade. It Measures 10.5" (27cm) long and weighs 3/4 of a pound (.34kg). The blade is a foliate embossed brass, and isn't particularly sharp. There are a pair of rings for attaching it to a belt. It is likely a tourist piece from the 1960's or 1970's, and is very sturdy paper knife.

This piece features embossed stylized coins and metal plates sewn onto the base made from an Afghan Suzani. A silver and coral beaded cowl frames the the face and extends down the sides with coins and embossed dangles at the ends. There is sort of a decorated flower spike on top with dangles and bells. Black tassels with white beads finish off this piece. This is an exceptionally comfortable piece to wear.

An unique lamp said to be made from stretched camel bladders. There are silhouette style desert scenes featuring a camel, people, and palm trees. Both the base and shade light up, giving soft, ambient lighting as shown. The collar and base are made from turned walnut. A very unusual and collectible piece made of a native coin metal alloy referred to as gillet. This tribal headdress was made for a young Turkoman bride. The metal components are applied over a base made from an old Afghan Suzani. Set with carnelian, this piece features embossed stylized metal plates sewn onto the base. There is sort of a decorated flower spike on top with dangles and bells. It has a little crinkle at the base, but is barely noticeable unless it's pointed out. Colorful metal tassels set with carnelians fringe the face, and there is a Suzani "tail" embellished with embossed metal plates, and tasselled medallions, with white beaded black fringe on the edges.

Ceremonial Oil Lamp encrusted with glass turquoise, natural and glass coral. It has filigree design elements and three seperate free spinning element on lamp shaft. Small ring at top of wick holder for chain to attach to missing snuffer. It has very few and minor inlay losses. The original silver wash has worn away. This appears to be unused. It measures 12" tall by 4.25" diameter, 6" across with oil "spout" This weighs 20 ounces before packing.

This unique Iranian brass vase has a traditional Ghalamzani (Carved Persian Metalwork) design. The farming scene is an unusual theme but the etching is very well detailed. Meticulously hand carved, the fabrication of this type of metalwork is a dying art. Measuring 21" tall by 12" across, and weighs eight pounds, this piece is surprisingly solid. This piece is estimated to be made in Iran 40 to 60 years ago.

This graceful pair of Mamluk Revival Islamic vases have two different cartouches with simple foliate medallions in between. There are also chain details encircling the vase near the top and bottom.. The vases measure 9" tall and 3.5" across and weigh 22 ounces each. These were likely made in the 1960's for the tourist trade.
