This unique lamp was originally an oil lamp, whose base is made from a pot that was carved around 1880. The pot is carved in the Mamluk revival style with alternating medallions of spider web and stylized cubes with trefoil detailing in between. It was electrified around 1920, retaining the original chimney holder. It measures 10" tall by 10" across and weighs 3 pounds.
Unusual Lucerna type oil lamp with four lion fonts and brass light shades embossed with the Byzantine double headed eagle. Complete with tools including tweezers, snuffer, tamper, and ash catcher.
