Intricately carved in Persia (Iran) approximately 1950. Revival piece reminiscent of Qajar era, the revival of this style of art occurred under the rule of Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi. It measures 22" tall by 6.5" in diameter, and weighs 2.5 pounds before packing. A lit incense cone is dropped into the top and allowed to burn, with the smoke filtering through the piercings. This would make an excellent lamp conversion.

A very unique and rare pair of Persian candle holders, possibly Judaic. They measure 15" tall by 6.5" across and weighs 5.5 pounds each or 11 pounds before packing. The capstan bases have typical Persian mythology and forest scenes on them. Each candle holder is unique. Please note the detail of candle cup to stick connection. These are heavy cast in pieces etched, and put together. A very rare find. The bases have small holes drilled into each, likely from an earlier lamp conversion.

A smaller scale Moroccan shoeshine box intended for use as a personal valet for maintaining one's clothing and shoes. Various bottles for cleaning products as well as rose water and and other perfuming agents. It measures 12" long, by 11.5" tall, by 5" deep, and weighs about 8 pounds before packing. Although one would usually associate this style of shoeshine box with Turkey, the enameling is consistent in color and texture to Moroccan enamel, and I have seen similar full sized shoeshine boxes in use in Morocco in the past.

This unique Iranian brass vase has a traditional Ghalamzani (Carved Persian Metalwork) design. The Persepolis scene depicting ancient Persia is a typical theme. Meticulously hand carved, the fabrication of this type of metalwork is a dying art. Measuring 18" tall by 10" across, and weighs six pounds, this piece is surprisingly solid. This piece is estimated to be made in Iran 40 to 60 years ago.
