This is a very unusual and collectible piece made of a native coin metal alloy referred to as gillet. This tribal headdress was made for a young Turkoman bride. The "hat" part is solid gillet rather than the usual pieces sewn onto a suzani. With bezel set lapis lazuli and turquoise, this piece features embossed stylized metal plates soldered onto the base. The "tail" has pendants and medallions sewn onto vintage suzani fabric. There is sort of a decorated flower spike on top ...click for details

Older Strand of North African amber trade beads. Shaped slightly cylindrically, these beads are 1 1/4" in diameter. Some ends are angled slightly which makes them seem to curve. There are 44 beads in all. These appear to be fashioned to complement Venetian millefiori African trade beads (also known as Goulamine beads). These are temporarily strung, and a few show marks from being burn tested. These are most likely Moroccan.

Elaborately carved Syrian lamp made approximately 1910. Two lamp sockets above and one in base, all with individual pull chains.
Measuring 26" tall by 16" across and weighs about 9 pounds. These were popular throughout the Middle East and exported for use in Masonic Temples. Similar lamps are also made in Turkey and Egypt. A lamp like this takes several months for as entire families would work on making these lamps with each member having a specialty or two.

A very unique and rare pair of Persian candle holders, possibly Judaic. They measure 15" tall by 6.5" across and weighs 5.5 pounds each or 11 pounds before packing. The capstan bases have typical Persian mythology and forest scenes on them. Each candle holder is unique. Please note the detail of candle cup to stick connection. These are heavy cast in pieces etched, and put together. A very rare find. The bases have small holes drilled into each, likely from an earlier lamp conversion.
